I’m Happy For…

I’m Happy For…

I’ve got my house, which I’m making into a home. A nice office downstairs, a pimpin’ entertainment set-up upstairs. My doggy keeping me company every day. A cracking Mini in my driveway. A flexible job where opportunities are endless and control is in my hands. I have friends I meet for drinks during the week, and those I let loose with at the weekends. I have ambition and a desire to improve myself and my lifestyle. I have toys I’m lucky to own; an iMac and MacBook, a Canon EOS 40D, two current generation consoles etc. I have a family I’m close to and do wonderful things for me. I have good health. I have freedom.

I just wanted to share my moment of gratefulness (and cheese) with you.

What are you grateful for?

I definitely hope to have a life like yours – simple yet satisfying. I’m grateful that I have a job and education, which I value each day. I’m grateful that I have a strong adaption to the worst of situations and am able to stay true to myself. I’m grateful that my family has stood by me, even when I’m not at my best.

I forgot to mention, I’m grateful for the small amount of time I have between work and school to relax and play video games.

Nice post you lucky lady! You have some gadgets, gotta love gadgets… and cheese.

This post actually made me stop & think what I am grateful for, and I came up with; my nearly completed degree, my parents for leaving me to grow alone, my friends for being my friends & knowing that I like to be alone, being forced to do a lot of part-time work whilst studying, my MacBook, my dirty old Micra, my camera, good music, good films, good coffee and some dude I spend a lot of my time with.

@Jennifer I’m flattered you would want to have a life like mine :) “I’m grateful that I have a strong adaption to the worst of situations and am able to stay true to myself” — I love this.

@Kym Yep, gadgets and cheese are some of the best things life has to offer. My parents had a lot of trust in me and left me to grow alone, and by the sound of it, so do yours. I have friends whose parents breathed down their neck, and now they’ve turned to drugs. Coincidence? Hah, probably not.

I'm interested to know what you think. Leave a comment
